Flash flooding in the Cameron Peak burn scar area left a woman and a juvenile girl dead, KDVR reported.

The floods swept through the area after the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office urged people from Crystal Mountain to Wild Song to seek higher ground at around 6:30 p.m. local time, KMGH-TV reported.

While officials continue combing the area, it is believed no one else has been completely cut off by the flooding, KDVR reported.

The floodwaters also destroyed a Granite Road home, but all people associated with the home have been accounted for and are unharmed, the TV station reported.

According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, the woman and girl who were killed had been camping along the creek in the Buckhorn area when floodwaters swept them away, KMGH reported.
