OTTAWA, Ontario – A dump truck going more than 60 mph with its bin raised slammed into a Canadian highway overpass Thursday, investigators said.

Ontario Provincial Police said a 53-year-old driver hit the overpass and wedged the dump truck bin between the road and bridge around 11 a.m., the Ottawa Citizen reported.

The truck separated from the bin and traveled more than 300 feet before coming to a stop, CTV News reported. Crews were able to removed the bin from the overpass by 3:15 p.m.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was charged with careless driving, CBC reported.
