You’re never too old to get a tattoo. An 82-year-old grandmother from Indiana is living proof.

Judy Dede, of Columbia City, appeared in her granddaughter’s TikTok video to address something she wanted to cross off her bucket list — getting a tattoo, WANE reported.

“I told the girls I was going to blow their mind,” Dede told the television station.

Dede’s granddaughter, who was recording the video, was not sure she heard it right.

“What did you say again?” O’Reilly asked.

“I want to get a tattoo,” Dede responded.

When she told me that she wanted to get this tattoo, I was completely in shock and blown away,” O’Reilly told WANE. “I was like, ‘OK, hold on a second. I need you to say that one more time,’ and I had to get it recorded because I couldn’t even believe that she said that.”

The internet could not believe it, either. O’Reilly posted the video to her TikTok account, and the video of “Tat Granny” has already received more than 3.4 million views and 600,000 likes.

Even Dede was stunned.

“I just I never dreamed it,” Dede told WANE. “Next thing I know, she (O’Reilly) is telling me ‘Grandma, we just got a message from somebody in South America.’ Messages have come from all over the world. … It just blows my mind.”

Dede’s inspiration for the tattoo came from a magazine article she read about a woman who got inked for her 80th birthday, the television station reported.

“Then she laid it on her family and they had a fit,” Dede told WANE. “Well, I told my family ahead of time, and now we’ve got four generations going to get tattoos.”

Well, “Tat Granny” made good on her promise, getting the tattoo on Saturday at Black Sheep Tattoo and Art Gallery in Fort Wayne, according to the television station. The tattoo is a music note with a “fishing hook look,” along with a cancer ribbon.

Cross another goal off the bucket list. The ink session was a family affair, too, with Dede’s daughter, granddaughter, granddaughter-in-law, two grandsons and both of their wives getting similar tattoos.

“I don’t think I can even explain how I feel about that. It’s just… I’m going to cry,” Dede told WANE. “I just try to live each day as best I can because you just never know.”
