Blake Shelton: ‘Do the right thing and stay away from each other
TULSA, Okla. – Everyone’s beloved Okie Blake Shelton gave his fans an update Saturday on his restaurants and asked everyone to “do the right thing” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Until this thing all gets behind us, we got to do the right thing and stay away from each other,” Shelton said, holding an Oklahoma mug from his home. “For some of us, that’s not hard because nobody likes us.”
Shelton also said he closed his three Ole Red locations in Oklahoma and Tennessee.
The coronavirus case count is 53 Oklahoma and 371 in Tennessee as of Saturday, according to numbers released from the Oklahoma and Tennessee health departments.
“We do have a commitment to our employees and are taking care of them,” Shelton said.
Shelton said he may host a fundraiser for artists soon.
“Let’s take our mandatory vacation and try to enjoy it,” Shelton said.
