SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. – A large fire was reported at an assisted living home in New York state, leading the second floor of the building to collapse, multiple news outlets are reporting.
According to WNBC, the blaze began shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Evergreen Court Home for Adults in Spring Valley.
Emergency crews and volunteers worked to evacuate the residents of the facility, which has 200 beds, WABC reported.
It was not immediately known what caused the blaze or whether any injuries occurred, according to WNBC.
