The year 2020 has brought health issues for so many as the coronavirus pandemic stretched on for 11 months, but it was a more common ailment that country singer Ricky Skaggs is talking about.

Skaggs sat down with People magazine to talk about the quadruple bypass surgery that saved his life.

After experiencing shortness of breath and tightness in his chest, he eventually saw his doctor in June for his six-month checkup. They ordered a CT scan, then an angiogram, a test that he was thinking of putting off for a week, but decided against it, Skaggs told the magazine.

Days after the test, he was in surgery having a quadruple bypass on his heart, he told the magazine.
