Coronavirus: Matthew McConaughey, wife delivering 110,000 face masks to rural Texas hospitals
Actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife, model Camila McConaughey, are on a road trip delivering face masks to rural hospitals across Texas.
They are delivering 110,000 face masks donated by Lincoln, who McConaughey is a spokesman for, the actor said on social media. It is unclear which hospitals they will deliver the masks to.
The donation comes after the state agriculture commissioner requested emergency funding for rural Texas hospitals on Wednesday.
This is not the first time the McConaugheys have helped during the pandemic.
In April, they donated 80,000 face masks to first responders in Austin. They have also hosted a virtual bingo game to raise money for a nursing home, KLTV reported.
