Police said a person approached a UPS tractor-trailer truck in the city around 3:30 a.m. and forced the driver to take him a few miles away, WSB reported.

Once the truck arrived at the destination, the suspect and other people allegedly tied up the driver and took packages from the truck before leaving the vehicle behind.

About three hours after the alleged kidnapping, police found the truck after UPS tracked the vehicle when it was reported overdue at a stop, WSB reported.

No one was hurt in the incident.
