The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses.

The CPSC said the mattresses do not meet mandatory federal flammability standards and could pose a fire hazard.

About 800 mattresses fall under the recall.

They were sold with navy blue side panels in twin, twin XL, queen, king and California king-sized beds and were made from July 15 to Aug. 6, 2021. They were sold at Aaron’s Furniture, Ashley Furniture, Macy’s and Sam’s Club stores from July through September 2021, the CPSC reported.

The manufacturing date and “Prototype ID: L1″ are printed on a tag sewn at the top of the mattress.

Consumers with the recalled mattresses should contact Serta to confirm that the bed is part of the announcement. Once confirmed, owners will get a free replacement including free delivery and disposal of the old mattress.

Serta is also contacting owners directly.
