Prince William, Kate call bingo for nursing home residents during coronavirus lock-down

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, took a break from their normal royal duties for a quick game of bingo.

The royal couple called the numbers for the residents of Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff, Wales, the “Today” show reported.

Like most of the world, the game was held during a video call. And the future king and his wife put a spin on the numbers by using nicknames like “1 and 7 Dancing Queen” and “two little ducks, 22” followed by the residents quacking, People magazine reported.

This isn’t the first time Will and Kate visited those who are dealing with the adjustments brought forth because of the coronavirus pandemic, E! News reported. Last month they virtually visited with teachers, “Today” reported.

But this week’s visit isn’t just for fun and games, they spoke to workers about how the pandemic has impacted those most vulnerable and how the care home has adapted to help keep their residents connected with friends and family through technology, according to the “Today” show.
