Toddler dies after family member accidentally runs over her in Texas driveway, deputies say
VON ORMY, Texas – A Texas toddler has died after a family member accidentally ran over her in the driveway of their home, authorities said.
According to KABB and KSAT, the deadly incident occurred about 11 p.m. Saturday at a Von Ormy home. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said Itsel Garcia-Hernandez, 2, was playing outside when an 18-year-old relative accidentally backed a vehicle into her, KABB reported.
The child died at the scene, deputies said.
Authorities have not filed any charges in connection with the death, which the Sheriff’s Office described as “a very tragic and unfortunate accident,” according to KABB.
