COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A toddler is dead after he was shot inside a Colorado home, authorities said.
According to the Commerce City Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday at a Jasmine Drive home. After receiving a call about a possible gunshot, police arrived to find a dead 3-year-old boy who had suffered a bullet wound, KDVR-TV reported.
Police also discovered two more children at the scene who had not been hurt, the department said in a news release. It was not immediately clear whether any adults had been supervising the children.
Police said they are still investigating the case and did not provide any further information.
