The 11-year-old boy, whose name was not released, is accused of taking the pickup truck Wednesday morning, The Associated Press reported.

The child allegedly drove the truck into a bank parking lot where he hit an ATM and caused minor damage before driving away, WTOC reported. Bank employees reported the accident, and police began looking for the truck.

Police tried to pull the truck over, but the 11-year-old evaded the traffic stop, hit another car, and then led officers on a chase hitting speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, the AP reported.

As the truck went through different jurisdictions, different agencies picked up the pursuit, with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol also getting involved, WTOC reported.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper David Laff told the AP that the chase ended when the boy tried to turn onto Interstate 95 but missed the on-ramp. The truck stopped in the mud, and nobody was hurt.

Police released the boy to his mother, and charged him with theft, fleeing, not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license.
