LOS ANGELES – The artist formerly known as Kanye Omari West is officially just Ye.

According to The Associated Press, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court on Monday signed off on the 44-year-old’s Aug. 24 petition to change his name for “personal reasons.” The father of four is now legally named Ye and no longer has a middle or last name.

The move came more than two years after the “Stronger” rapper tweeted that he wanted to be called Ye.
“The being formally known as Kanye West,” he wrote in a September 2018 post. “I am YE.”

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West, who married Ye in 2014, filed for divorce from the rapper earlier this year.
