Indiana man arrested in shooting death of Indianapolis postal worker
INDIANAPOLIS – An Indiana man is behind bars in the fatal shooting of an Indianapolis postal worker earlier this week.

Authorities with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Tony Cushingberry, 21, of Indianapolis, on Tuesday evening, one day after USPS mail carrier Angela Summers, 45, was shot and killed, according to a Wednesday news release.

Charges against Cushingberry, who is being held at the Marion County jail, are pending as the investigation continues, WISH-TV reported. No further information was immediately available.
Postal inspectors announced Tuesday that they were offering as much as $50,000 for information leading to a suspect’s arrest in the case.
“Anyone who threatens, assaults or otherwise harms a postal employee fulfilling her critical mission will be apprehended and held fully accountable,” Felicia George, acting inspector in charge for the agency’s Detroit Division, said in a statement.
