According to WJET and WICU, police arrested Logan Miller and Lindsay Orton-McIntyre, both 26, of North East, on Monday, more than seven months after the infant died in an area hospital.

Investigators said emergency crews responded to a Clay Street home on July 22, 2020, after receiving a report of an injured baby, according to WICU. The baby girl, who had suffered head trauma, a swollen spine and a broken wrist, died July 28, the news outlet reported.

Police said the pair, who denied knowing how the injuries occurred, failed to seek medical treatment for the infant for five days, WICU reported.

In addition to murder, authorities charged Miller and Orton-McIntyre with one count each of child endangerment and aggravated assault, the outlets reported.
