Eleanor Bowles, 77, was found dead in her garage in a gated community Saturday in Atlanta, according to WSB-TV. Police believe Bowles was in her house at 11:30 a.m. when Antonio Brown, 23, allegedly broke in and tried to steal her 2021 Lexus RS2350.

Investigators believe that Bowles possibly interrupted the robbery, which led to her getting stabbed to death, according to WSB-TV.

Brown allegedly walked into the gated community, but it is not clear how he made it past security, police said, according to WSB-TV. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, in a news conference Monday evening, said that someone had spotted Brown and called the police. This tip called into investigators led to Brown’s arrest.

Bowles’ car was tracked down and found in DeKalb County, according to WSB-TV.
