According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Ramirez allegedly stole a 2015 BMW X6 on March 21, KSAT-TV reported.

Police said that Ramirez and a female accomplice drove up behind the vehicle in a dark-colored BMW SUV, according to the television station.

The gun went off at that point, and a .45 caliber Horandy round was later recovered at the scene.

On March 29, investigators later located a Chevrolet Equinox stolen from nearby Balcones Heights in the same driveway where the BMW SUV was located, according to an arrest affidavit.

According to the affidavit, Ramirez allegedly told police that he steals vehicles and sells them to various associates, KSAT reported.
