During a news conference, Miami-Dade Police Department’s Public Information Officer Alvaro Zabaleta said officers received a 911 call from a family member who was unable to contact their relatives, according to WFLA.

Investigators said the call came in just before 10 a.m. and the house was located in the 14800 block of NW 87th Court, WFOR said.

Once officers got inside the house through a window, they located a deceased person with an apparent gunshot wound. The bodies of four others were located as officers made their way through the house, WFLA reported.

Investigators believe that one of the men may have been the shooter before he took his own life, based on some evidence that was collected at the scene, WFOR reported.

The names of the deceased have not yet been identified. The relationship among the five dead people is under investigation as well as what may have led up to the incident, police said, according to WFOR.

It is also unknown how long the five people have been deceased.
