TOPEKA, Kan. – A man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a house where a woman and two girls were killed Friday morning in Topeka, Kansas.

Topeka Police arrested Kyle J. Tyler, 32, on Saturday after he was reportedly the only survivor in a house fire that killed a woman and two young girls, according to The Associated Press.

Tyler was taken into custody after he was released from the hospital, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal.

Tyler is being held in jail on suspicion of three counts of first-degree murder committed in the commission of another felony, arson and multiple other charges, according to the AP. He is also being held in lieu of a $1 million bail but has not been formally charged.

Those killed in the fire were identified as Genny L. Fitzpatrick, 30, Peyton L. Tyler, 9, and Kourtney K. Tyler, 1, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal.

According to the AP, fire investigators determined that the fire in the house was set intentionally and was believed to be a domestic incident.
