Cool Front Hitting Houston Ahead of Upcoming Weekend

HOUSTON — As August has turned to September, signaling the coming end of summer and the start of fall, the weather will begin to reflect the changing of the seasons as soon as this week. The first cool front of the year will be hitting Houston as early as Friday, according to Click 2 Houston.com.
While daytime highs won’t be decreasing drastically, humidity levels will drop with the dryer air, and nightly lows are expected to drop into the mid-to-low 60s. As of Tuesday Morning, the current dew point is 74ºF, according to there National Weather Service. By Saturday, the dew point will most likely drop into the 50s. Daily highs heading into the weekend could drop as low as the mid 80s.
While the break from the excessive heat and humidity will be nice, it’s not expected to last, as humidity levels are expected to rise again by the middle of next week.

The rest of this week until Friday will feel similar to this past week:
Wednesday: With a projected high of 90ºF and a low of 77ºF, the mostly-cloudy day has a 50% chance of rain showers in the Houston area.
Thursday: The daily high will dip down to around 86ºF, with a low of 76ºF. There’s a 60% chance of rain.
Friday: The cool front reaches southeast Texas. A high of 87ºF is probable, with a low of 75F and a 40% chance of rain.
Saturday: Sunny skies with drier air. High of 87ºF and a low of 73ºF.
Sunday: Cooler temperatures begin to really set in, with a high of 84ºF and a low of 64ºF.
