2024 Billboard Music Awards: Finalists Breakdown

The finalists for the 2024 Billboard Music Awards were released Monday, and country music is well represented across several of the categories not directly related to the genre. Stars like Zach Bryan, Shaboozey and Morgan Wallen were listed as finalists, some of which appear in multiple categories.
The wide representation of country artists amongst the finalists highlights the resurgence to the cultural mainstream that country and its stars have accomplished over the past few years. Bryan leads all artists among all genres with 21 entries for 18 awards. Taylor Swift leads all female artists with 17 entries for 16 awards. Wallen, who won the most BBMAs in 2023, has 15 entries in 13 categories. Post Malone and Teddy Swims have eight entries for awards, while Shaboozey has six entries. Combs, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kacey Musgraves, Red Clay Strays and Chris Stapleton are also among country artists with multiple nominations.
Bryan, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Malone, Dolly Parton and Red Clay Strays were chosen as finalists in genre award categories outside of country music.
In addition to several country artists leading with several finalist honors, Shaboozey will be performing as part of the ceremony.
