HOUSTON — As the city gears up for its second week of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, attendees should gear down, as daily highs will begin to climb into the 80s consistently through at least early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Starting Wednesday, March 12, the daily high will potentially reach 82ºF, with the following seven days expected to continue the trend of hot weather. Thursday is expected to see temperatures reach their peak over the 10-day forecast period, with a potential high of 87ºF.

Along with the hot weather, skies are expected to remain relatively clear, as of Monday, with no rain expected in the forecast. If you’re looking to attend to rodeo or spend an extended period of time outside, make sure to keep yourself hydrated and pack some sunscreen.
Despite the hot weather this early in the year, Houstonians will experience some relief at night and in the early morning hours of the day, as daily lows are expected to remain mostly in the 50s and 60s. Keep those jackets handy for the time being, as they’ll still be needed.
