Friday July 18
Kicking the weekend off with all the memes of the “Coldplay Kiss Cam” incident. Here is the break down of how we got here.
Wednesday – Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
During Coldplay’s concert, the kiss cam pans to a couple—later identified as Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer.
They awkwardly embrace, then quickly try to hide. Frontman Chris Martin quips on stage: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Thursday – Astronomer launching an internal investigation, placing both on leave.
Media outlets confirm their identities—CEO (Byron) and HR chief (Cabot)—who are both married to other people.
Friday – Byron resigns. The company publicly attributes it to leadership accountability and confirms the board has accepted his departure.
Coldplay, concerned about future incidents, publicly warns concert audiences about kiss cam usage. Chris Martin jokes again reassuring fans that makeup and prepping are welcome before cameras appear.
The original kiss cam clip hits 50–122 million views on TikTok and X. Luke Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Philadelphia Phillies mascot reenactments, and joke segments appear.

Saturday July 19
Eagle Fest! Our sister radio station “Houston’s Only Classic Rock 1075 & 106.9 The Eagle” Hosted their first ever Eagle Fest concert featuring .38 Special and Kansas! My parents are on the older side so I did grow up on 60s,70s and 80s rock in the household. So it was nice to go to my first classic rock concert, especially to support our sister station. I even go to run into a couple of you 93Q amigos out there! Can wait to see what next year’s Eagle Fest brings!
Sunday July 20
This Sunday I took it nice and slow. With Cowboys and Angels coming up I made sure to plan out my week, enjoy my family and of course play with Chief.
