Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Wins ACM Award

2025 has been a big year for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where the 23-day event drew in a record-breaking 2.7 million visitors in February and March. Despite the rodeo taking place months ago, HLSR received an ACM Award for its efforts.

For the third time in the rodeo’s history, it’s been honored by the Academy of Country Music with the “Best Fair and Rodeo” award, the organization announced Tuesday. HLSR previously won the award in 2022 and 2023.
In response to the honor, RodeoHouston shared a short statement thanking everyone involved in 2025’s rodeo:
“Thank you to our 36,000 volunteers, donors and guests for making one of Houston’s beloved traditions the biggest and greatest for 93 years!” RodeoHouston said in a statement.

The 2025 HLSR featured 14 country artists who performed on the rotating main stage following the rodeo events. Those artists included veteran performers like Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Jon Pardi, Old Dominion, Cody Jinks, Parker McCollum, Brooks & Dunn and Luke Bryan. Country artists making their RodeoHouston debut included Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, Zach Top, Warren Zeiders, Charley Crockett and Post Malone.
Next year’s rodeo will feature a 21 performances instead of the typical 20, with Cody Johnson performing a full-length show on the final day of the 2026 HLSR.
