Rare August Cold Front to Bring Rain to Houston Labor Day Weekend

Some relief from the heat will be heading to the Houston area soon, as Labor Day weekend storms are expected to bring lower temperatures, thanks to a rare August cold front affecting much of the U.S. The front is expected to move in Saturday, possibly dipping daily highs into the 80s, according to the National Weather Service.
While the cold front is expected to drop temperatures in many areas of the country well below typical average temperatures, Houston’s won’t be as extreme of a drop. Despite this, the temperature drop will be noticeable, at least for a little while.
