An Upstate New York man is under arrest after what can only be described as a domestic situation that went completely off the rails…or into the pasture.

Authorities say the incident happened Saturday evening in Rensselaerville, when deputies from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Jubilee Road around 7:30 p.m. for a disturbance.

According to investigators, 47-year-old Anthony Pappalau allegedly tried to stab a male family member during the altercation. And because that apparently wasn’t enough, police say he also hit the victim in the leg with his car door before taking off.

Officers later tracked him down with help from Rotterdam Police and took him into custody before transferring him to Albany County.

The victim declined medical treatment at the scene.

Now here’s where this story takes a hard left turn…

Pappalau was reportedly wearing a full cow costume during the incident—and at the time of his arrest.

No explanation has been given for the outfit choice, but the county sheriff did say this kind of behavior is “expected from him,” which somehow makes the whole thing even more confusing.

Pappalau is now facing multiple charges, including second-degree attempted assault, reckless endangerment, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned in Rensselaerville Town Court and later released.

Authorities have not said exactly how the victim is related to him, and details remain limited as the investigation continues.

Maybe he just really wanted to be a Chik-Fil-A ambassador? I smell an influencer deal on the horizon.
