It’s official—country royalty is taking the stage in a whole new way this year.

Shania Twain has been tapped to host the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, marking her first time leading the show. The big night is set for May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will stream live on Prime Video.

Fans will also be able to catch the show via a simulcast on Amazon Music’s Twitch channel and inside the app—making it easier than ever to tune in.

Twain shared her excitement about hosting, calling it an honor to be part of such a major night celebrating country music. And she’s following in some legendary footsteps, with past hosts including Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Reba McEntire.

Star-Studded Performances

This year’s show is already stacking up with major performances from:

  • Cody Johnson
  • Kacey Musgraves
  • Lainey Wilson
  • Little Big Town
  • Miranda Lambert
  • Riley Green

More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

A Full-Circle Moment

Twain isn’t new to the ACM stage—she’s previously taken home major honors, including Entertainer of the Year. Now, she’ll help lead a night celebrating the biggest names in the genre.

With a powerhouse host, a stacked performance lineup, and country music’s brightest stars all in one place, the 2026 ACM Awards are shaping up to be a can’t-miss event.
