HOUSTON — Houston Independent School District will once again provide free breakfast and lunch to children and teens throughout the summer months as part of the district’s annual Summer Meals Program.

The program ensures that all children 18 years and younger have access to nutritious meals while school is out, at no cost to families.

WHO

The Summer Meals Program is open to:

  • All children and teens ages 18 and younger, regardless of summer school enrollment
  • No registration, application, or ID required

WHERE

Meals will be served at select HISD summer meal sites, including campuses hosting summer
school. A full list of participating locations is available at: www.houstonisd.org/summerschool.

WHEN

  • Weekdays, June 10 through July 17
    • No service on holidays (June 19, July 2, and July 3).
  • Breakfast: 7:30-8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:00-11:30 a.m.*
  • Meals must be eaten on site as part of federal program requirements.
