A road rage incident in Northern California took an unusual turn when one dingus driver allegedly used a ukulele as a weapon during a roadside confrontation.

According to police, the incident began when a driver noticed another vehicle following closely behind and repeatedly honking.

At some point, both drivers pulled over and got out of their vehicles.

Authorities say the confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with both individuals exchanging blows.

Then things got even stranger.

Police say one of the drivers produced a ukulele and struck the other person over the head with it. (below is what we think it may have looked like as it all went down.)

Details surrounding the confrontation remain limited.

Investigators have not said what sparked the dispute, whether the drivers knew each other before the incident, or who ultimately reported the encounter to authorities.

Both drivers reportedly left the scene before police arrived.

The case is now being investigated as assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.

One question also remains unanswered:

Was the ukulele okay? Thoughts and prayers.
