How to see Geminid meteor shower
The Geminids, an annual meteor shower, will be visible to much of the U.S. Monday night, and will provide one of the best opportunities to see what NASA calls one of the “best and most reliable annual meteor showers.”

The peak will be at 2 a.m. Dec. 14, when the shower can produce more than 50 meteors per hour, CNN reported. According to NASA, the shower will start around 9 or 10 p.m., and you need nothing more than your eyes to be able to see the shower.
The Geminids come from debris left behind by a celestial object, and appear to come from the constellation Gemini, which is how they got their name, NPR reported.
While the display peaks overnight Monday, the shower may be visible in the skies for the rest of the month as well, The Washington Post reported.
