About: Just like they did for Mother’s Day, HCCC is inviting everyone to a free workshop at the art gallery and store to make a handmade collage card for dad!

3. Father’s Day Bash at Axelrad

Date: June 14

Time: 1pM – 6PM

Location: Axelrad

About: Listen to live music from Foo Fighters cover band, Foo Fathers, and The Monicas, while playing cornhole and laughing at live comedians. Dads are encouraged to dress in their best “dad fit,” with the best-dressed dad winning prizes. All dads who participate will receive drink specials.

4. Galveston Island Juneteenth Festival & Celebration

5. Strand Summer Series: Movie Nights – Soul

Time: 7:30PM – 9:30PM

Location: Hendley Green Park

About: Enjoy a free family movie night with dad, as Soul will be played. There will be food and beverage options for purchase, but feel free to bring blankets chairs, friends family and BYOB!

6. Father’s Day Weekend at Eureka Heights Brew Co.

Date: June 14 – 15

Time: 1PM – 7PM Saturday, 12PM – 5PM Sunday

Location: Eureka Heights Brew Co.

About: Several events will take place throughout the weekend at Eureka Heights Brew CO. in honor of Father’s Day. While not all the events are free, the event is free to attend. Events include a mini golf Scrabble tournament on Saturday, and a Lego walk, dad joke open mic and satellite of pizza on Sunday. Deckle and Hide BBQ will have a pop up throughout the weekend, until supplies last.

7. Father’s Day at Bayou Bend

Date: June 15

Location: Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

About: Bring your art-loving dad to Bayou Bend for light refreshments and live jazz by Thomas Helton as you tour. Fathers get in free!

8. Father’s Day Car Show & Concert at Traders Village

Date: June 15

Time: 10AM – 5PM

Location: Traders Village

About: Free to attend, although there’s a $5 parking fee, Traders Village will be hosting a car show with live music.

9. Father’s Day Grand Prix

Time: 11AM – 2PM

Location: Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant

About: Everyone is welcome to come out to Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant for an F1 race watch party! A free pint of beer will be gifted to the first 20 dads to attend. 10. Family Fitness at Market Square Park

 Show dad how much you care by bringing him breakfast in bed – as long as you’re still at home with your parents. Please don’t break into your parents’ home and give them a fright.
