El Agave, in Pacific, said in a Facebook post that a customer claimed she found a bug in the last few bites of her meal. The restaurant said that when staff reviewed surveillance footage, the woman “is easily seen putting the bug on her plate from her purse and claiming it was already there.”

The customer alerted the server to the bug, and when the server left to get a manager, the woman allegedly got up and left without paying, KMOV reported.

“It’s far too easy to bad mouth our restaurant … This post had 30 comments and 4 shares before we were alerted,” the restaurant said in its post.

El Agave also said it plans to consult an attorney, and has already filed theft charges with the police department.
