Virginia mom accused of trying to drown 7-month-old baby boy
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. – A Virginia mother is facing an attempted murder charge amid allegations that she recently tried to drown her baby boy.
According to WRIC and WWBT, Prince George County resident Leslei Kuykendall, 38, was arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11 along the Appamattox River in Hopewell. After receiving reports that a woman and a small child were in the river, crews arrived and resuscitated the 7-month-old infant, WWBT reported. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released, authorities said.
