The American Cancer Society is kicking off its 37th Annual Houston Cattle Baron’s Ball with a Western-themed event happening on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at The Rustic in Downtown Houston. The Cattle Baron’s Ball Kickoff Party, sponsored by Oxy and chaired by Kristen Cannon and Whitney Lawson, will include a night full of live music, dancing, food, and most importantly, a way to support the American Cancer Society’s vision to end cancer, as we know it, for everyone.

Cancer has affected all of us in some way, and it is our role as chairs to raise funds and awareness on how this disease can be stopped,” said Co-Chair Kristen Cannon. “Anything that supports the American Cancer Society in that way, I’m on board!”

Limited tickets are on sale now for $100. You can purchase them online at cattlebaronsball.org.

“I’m thrilled to serve as co-chair for the Cattle Baron’s Ball Kickoff Party,” said Whitney Lawson. “I’m hopeful we can set the stage on May 14 for what will be the most successful Cattle Baron’s Ball come September! I’m most looking forward to joining forces with the American Cancer Society to truly make a difference in Houston and beyond.”

All funds raised support the American Cancer Society’s mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
